Robert Wolgemuth has been in the publishing business for over 25 years. His credits include executive positions in the magazine and book industries in Illinois and Texas, the presidency of a large Nashville, Tennessee, book publisher and the co-founder, along with Michael Hyatt, of a publishing company.

Dr. Wolgemuth was the Business Manager of Campus Life Magazine (1976-1979), Vice President of Sales and Marketing for Word Publishing (1979-1984), President of Thomas Nelson Communications (1984-1986), and Chairman of Wolgemuth & Hyatt Publishers (1986-1992).

Following the sale of his publishing business in 1992, he and his partner founded a literary representation agency, where he currently serves as owner and president. Wolgemuth & Associates, Inc. exclusively represents the writing work of approximately twenty Christian authors including Joni Eareckson Tada, Dr. Ravi Zacharias, Dr. Henry Blackaby, Dr. John MacArthur, Ronald Blue, Dr. Albert Mohler, Dr. James MacDonald, Dr. Max Anders, Nancy Leigh DeMoss, Dr. Gary Collins, Ellen Santilli Vaughn, Dr. Kenneth Boa, Dr. Patrick Morley, Dr. Gordon MacDonald, Dr. Tim Irwin, and Dennis and Barbara Rainey.

Robert is a best-selling author, with sales in excess of one million copies. His newest books are How to Lead Your Child to Christ (Tyndale House/Focus on the Family, June 2005) and The Most Important Place on Earth: What a Christian Home Looks Like and How to Build One (Thomas Nelson, October 2004). His other titles include, She Calls Me Daddy: Seven Things Every Man Needs to Know About Building a Complete Daughter, Daddy@Work: Loving Your Family, Loving Your Job, Being Your Best in Both Worlds, Pray With Me Daddy, Just Daddy and Me, and From Daddy With Love. Robert wrote the notes for The Devotional Bible for Dads which was released in the spring of 1999 by Zondervan Publishing House. Five of his books have received Silver Medallion Awards from the Evangelical Christian Publishers Association.

In collaboration with Joni Eareckson Tada, Dr. John MacArthur, and his wife, Bobbie, Wolgemuth has co-authored four best-selling books and music CD's highlighting great hymns of the faith. Wolgemuth is also the coauthor of What's in the Bible: The Story of God through Time and Eternity, with Dr. R.C. Sproul; Between the Lines: Nine Principles to Live By with Orel Hershiser; and Men of the Bible co-written with Ann Spangler, a one-year devotional book that gives readers a chance to spend one week with each of 52 biblical men. He also co-authored The Most Important Year in a Woman's/Man's Life: What Every Bride/Groom Needs to Know, with his wife, Bobbie, along with Mark and Susan DeVries.

Robert Wolgemuth is known as a champion for biblical truth, a biblical worldview, the family, effective communication, leadership, listening skills, relationship building, and traditional values. He has been a speaking and consulting resource for groups including DreamWorks, The Professional Golfers Association, The Tennessee Society of Certified Public Accountants, Vanderbilt University Children's Hospital, The Maryland Science Center, Belmont University, Focus on the Family, The Center for Family-Owned Businesses, Willow Creek Community Church, STAR Physical Therapy Associates, and The Foundation.

Robert served two terms as the Chairman of the Evangelical Christian Publishers Association.

For six years following college graduation, Robert ministered to teenagers and their families through Youth for Christ in the northern suburbs of Chicago.

As a layman, Robert has taught Sunday school for thirty-five years as a member of the following churches: Winnetka Bible Church, Winnetka, Illinois; First Baptist Church, Geneva, Illinois; First United Methodist Church, Waco, Texas; First Presbyterian Church, Nashville, Tennessee; and First Presbyterian Church, Orlando, Florida. He serves as an ordained elder at the First Presbyterian Church of Orlando and has recently chaired the Senior Pastor Nominating Committee and the Stewardship Committee.

A 1969 graduate of Taylor University from which he received an honorary doctorate-Doctor of Humane Letters, Dr. Wolgemuth is the father of two grown daughters, two sons-in-law, and five grandchildren. He and Bobbie, his wife of over 35 years, live in Central Florida. He enjoys golf, versa-climbing, reading, teaching, and The Home Depot.
